Unless there are objections we will play PARX on Saturday races 3 to 14. It features the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby and the Cottilion with Torpedo Anna and of course the best Marathon horse in North America Next. I hope I didn’t jinx him by saying that. At 1-5 he can’t be bet but if he runs his race watch out.

I saw Thorpedo Anna race at Oaklawn before she became rich and famous. Normally, I don't have a clue about whether a horse will do well based on looks, but even I could tell she might win her race. She appeared to be a big filly and she absolutely danced up to the gate which seemed to indicate she was ready to run a big race. Did me little good to have that impression though as she was in the outside gate and by the time they get loaded into that gate, it's too late to wager.

Considering her race in the Travers, 4/5 seems generous. Hope she can carry the weight of my opinion. I've been known to undo the chances of many a good horse in my time.:eek::wf

Brave performance by Thorpedo Anna in the Travers. She's got the right stuff, for sure.

Great choice for Saturday.
