Lets go to Saratoga on Saturday. While it's against my principle's we will do the full card. It's hard to pass up $100,000 plus maiden races.

Wonderful choice. When you have a race with the prestige of the Test on the undercard to the Whitney, you know it's a splendid day of racing, maidens and all.

There are maidens and then again there are maidens, so you need to clarify which maiden races one is talking about. There is such a difference in the excitement generated by a maiden special weight for 2 year olds at Saratoga, from which an unraced future champion might emerge, and a maiden claimer $15,000 for State breds at, say, Hawthorne, in which the betting favorite has already run 9 times and hit the board 3 or 4. I'd tire of a steady diet of the latter very rapidly.
