Fastest horse ever!
No Doubt! The only way to beat this horse is to put 150lbs on him. The weight in the Cigar Mile was total bull. A 3yo that is a Gr 3 winner gives pounds to last years BC Sprint winner and a G1 winner this year plus they gave him a 2lb break cause he was a 3yo. If Frankel trained the horse he would of scratched him.

My point was that so many are using the raw time as a basis when the raw time was obviously a function of the track surface. Talk about his ease in winning, the gears he showed, that he beat a decent(if small) field. But the minute the 3rd race was over today, the odds on a sub 1:33 mile were 2-5. Its my whole point, and I don't think a difficult one to grasp. |

lmao, ppl are past the whole godolphin thing at this point. they have been involved in racing for far too long for the racing public to ignore one of their horses b/c of the ownership. hes not the fastest horse ever though. got a lot of running to do to obtain that title pal. Repent |

Yea your right, good thing Gomez didn't bust the whip on his a s s and break the world record. |
He ran before my time but you guys forgot about a horse named Dr.Fager.
Discreet Cat might be our Dr. Fager but legend has it that the old Dr. was very fast and he performed over multiple racetracks. |

yeah legend was right. like I said, DCat has a lot of running to do before he is mentioned with the horses we generally think of as the fastest like Dr Fager, Coaltown and Tom Fool. hell, he has a lot to do until he is in Ghostzapper's league. Repent |

yeah, and I guess he actually did win a G1 at every important distance 6f(well, 6.5), 8, and 10f. that spectrum about covers it all. freak. Repent |

Who cares how fast he is. I never understood this point. If a horse wins wins wins and wins Graded races then who cares what his times are. Cat beat a very decent field today. Granted that Silver Train is not what he used to be and BOS was racing for only the 2nd time in 11 months. But they are Grade I winners so u can say he beat Grade winners.
THe weight issue wasnt all that big of a deal. I dont think a 3 year old should ever give weight to an older grade I winner. But it wasnt like he was giving 15 lbs. |

I don't know if he is a 10 panel horse, but he isn't headstrong so that's a plus. I'll say this. If he's in form, there isn't a horse around right now who will beat him at a flat mile. |

I beg to differ.....I would say it was an inexcplicable job by the racing secretary. Don't get me wrong, Discreet Cat is obviously the best horse in today's race, and I couldn't care less about weight, but for him to give four pounds ( six on scale ) the last year's BC Sprint, the year's Met and Tom Fool, winner is utterly ridiculous. If you ask me it sounds like he asked the connections of the other horses what weight assignments they would consider fair. If Frankel trained Discreet Cat he would have stayed in the barn. And let me add.....am I the only person on this board that knows anything about this game????? |
