Steeplechase racing returns to the Big A for the first time since retired New York horseman Leo O’Brian piloted Afilador to a win July 1974.

The 2 best American Steeplechase runners in training will get paid for their public workouts in the Novice Entenmann and the Grade 1 Lonesome Glory.

Race 1 the Entenmann features the return of #1 The Mean Queen going 8 jumps. #1 The Mean Queen is pointing for the Mares’ hurdle race at Cheltenham March 2023 so this maybe her only American start before Cheltenham. According to race conditions, #1 The Mean Queen carries 165 pounds but that was reduced to 158 because she is a mare going against the boys. #1 The Mean Queen is a single on top so for exotic bets, key #2 Proven Innocent in the second spot, then in the third and fourth spot key #4 Going Country, # 5 Bandua (SCR), #6 Howyabud. #7 State of Affair can be used in just the 4th spot for superfecta.
