7/20: Saratoga A.P. Smithwick Steeplechase Race 1
 

The A.P. Smithwick kicks off the Saratoga steeplechase season.

There are only two runners that do not use Lasix on a regular basis, morning line favorite #3 Pistol Whipped and the mare #2 Down Royal who gets a 17 pound weight break from #3 Pistol Whipped. Since the weight assignment does not consider the use of Lasix, there really is no one else to consider as a win candidate.

Box the 3 and 2 in an exacta and key them over in trifectas and superfectas.
