ROI Recap
March 1st, 2022. A quarter of another year is gone by. NJ Stinks and Don Guido lead the ROI pack. Both have 4 wins this year. No one else has more than 1. Cal and Zippy are cruising along at a 25% ROI clip with Ruffian at 9% and Indian Hemp at 7%. Six players are currently showing a flat profit out of 13 players. Not too shabby. As a group we are still showing a flat profit which is amazing. Normal yearly losses are usually between 20 and 30 percent.

ROI Update 7/19
33 weeks in the books already. Time goes by too fast. At this time there are 3 players still showing a flat profit. The actual leader is still NJ Stinks but the official leader is Don Guido. NJS is one week behind playing our 50% minimum but if he picks up the pace he has a healthy lead. NJ Stinks has an ROI of 78% and a profit of $1295. Don Guido is second with an ROI of 33% and is up $866.
Cal rounds out the winning trio with an ROI of 19% and is $653 to the good. Zippy is 4th down just $52 bucks. Digger, Indian Hemp and Ruffian are next. The hottest player is Digger who has hit the board 5 weeks in a row and has hit the cashiers window at a 45% clip. Cal and Don Guido both have 5 wins. NJS and Digger have 4 each. Indian Hemp has the only $1000 plus profitable day (+1090 on May 21st). |
Good to know. Lots of great racing to go with both Saratoga and Delmar and eventually the Breeder's Cup. Should be fun.

Thanks for being our A+++ statistician RQ, great summary. Your bonus check is in the mail. ;) The fact that my name is even mentioned with the ROI leaders is very unusual for me . . . as the previous years have gone. Maybe I should play the Lottery more, hmmmmmm?! :D

I've been to Vegas many times when I'm sure it might have been that hot, but you hardly notice it because you're going in and out of casinos. Maybe the hottest place I've ever been was Phoenix and it was like you said a blast furnace type of thing, but it can actually be a nice place to go in winter. Here in Hot Springs, I think we are on the edge of what you guys are experiencing so a few degrees cooler. Just think, only about 7 or 8 weeks more of this type of weather.:zz::wf

I grew up in a generation when air conditioning was a rarity.
They really weren't prevalent until the late 60's. Could you imagine that today? |

When I was living in Florida
central AC was a requirement to survive The Humidity down there Could Drop A Dragon  Which is probably why you never see one But out here in Colorado we have NO Humidity :) Plus living 6000 feet elevation West facing home in the Foothills NO Fleas On Pets !!! I do not even have an air conditioner I have ceiling fans in all the rooms And my lower level feels like air conditioning With 90% Below Ground 3 Rooms have Ground Level Windows |
100 degree weather par for the course in Hot Springs, but I feel sorry for those folks in England where the high is usually 75, but hit 104 yesterday. I saw a report awhile back that said the temps had gone up so much in Britain that they could now grow grapes that would normally not grow outside of France and so the Brits now have a thriving wine industry.
