ROI Results 1/15 @ Santa Anita

Profits were made at Santa Anita on Saturday and four players collected the points involved.
7 winning wagers were cashed by 6 players. Eclipse and Zippy visited the cashiers window
but missed the break even point. Digger takes fourth place with a winning bet on Really Big
News in the 4th. Cal gets the number 3 spot despite getting a higher payout due to Don
wagering less. Cal hit a daily double in race 8 and then added a nice tri in race 9 and
finished the day with a profit of $89 and an ROI of 89%. Don gets the number two spot with
yet another winning exacta key. DG is definitely picking the right races to key his top horse
in. The 3-4 combo returned $127.20 to Don and an ROI for the day of 165%. Real Quiet gets
the Santa Anita win by cashing his first ticket of the season for $847.10. It just goes to show
that if you "have a dollar and a dream" you're still in it. Following are the unofficial results
pending a review of an inadvertant whistle by an overly enthusiastic ref or your scorekeeper
swallowing his whistle. See you all next week hopefully where it's warmer and sled dogs
aren't at the venue.

I do have a math question RQ. If Cal's total ROI is $89.30 and mine is $79.20, his being more, shouldn't Cal have the 2nd place spot? Maybe it's more about track payout than math, HUH???

Since you only wagered $48 and Cal wagered $100 your ROI (return on investment) was quite a bit higher. Doesn't happen all that often here but this was one of those times.
