Story was posted when he was pensioned.......Like to think more of their life than their death........

Diesis, an English champion and prominent Kentucky stallion, has been pensioned at Mill Ridge Farm, owned by Alice Chandler and her husband, Dr. John Chandler, near Lexington.
The 26-year-old syndicated son of Sharpen Up covered just six mares this year and experienced difficulties with his back side. His fee this year was $30,000.

Diesis is represented by 83 stakes winners and, although he stood in Kentucky, his top runners were European champions, including Halling, Magistretti, Docksider, Ramruma, Diminuendo, Elmaamul, and Three Valleys. Magistretti also was a grade I winner in the United States.

Diesis, whose progeny has earned more than $45 million, also is represented by North American grade I winners Husband, Storm Trooper, Continuously, and Rootentootenwooten.

Diesis, whose full brother Kris also was an English champion and successful sire, won the William Hill Dewhurst (Eng-I) and William Hill Middle Park (Eng-I) Stakes for breeder/owner Lord Howard de Walden. Diesis was produced from the Reliance mare Doubly Sure.
