October 16 Venue . . . meh!!!
Nothing exciting to look at I can see. Belmont? Keenland has the Queen Elizibeth II Challenge Cup 9f Grade I turf? This time of year for racing, just closing in on Breeders Cup, is not that enticing.

Congrats on your very close victory in the points contest. I'm very glad that you have the choice of venue and I don't - this week just doesn't have much to offer. I think that the last of the "win and you're in" BC preps will be the Jessamine this coming Wednesday; after that any probable BC runners will most likely be resting and getting ready for the big days.
Keeneland and Belmont are always good contest choices. As an alternative thought - with the dearth of major stakes races on the calendar, this Saturday might provide an opportunity to visit a minor track that we would normally ignore, just to provide some variety. There are a number of them available that have good racing and are not as obscure as Kamloops. |
What a tough decision! Overall, the card at Belmont might be better in that Keeneland has 5 maiden races and Belmont has 3, but then the single graded stakes at keeneland is probably better than the one at Belmont. Flip a coin, I guess.
