ROI Results 7/10 @ Belmont
 

After a few lean weeks the ROI board exploded on Saturday. 6 winning tickets were cashed,
4 players hit the board and 5 of the winning tickets payed over $100. Cruzan cashed a ticket but
it wasn't enough to show a profit. Don Guido gets the Super spot by hitting a nice paying exacta
in race 7. Ruffian gets third place with the highest paying win bet on the Belmont afternoon.
Ruffalo's Outrageous Bet payed $43.80 for each $2 and she had it 8 times. Nice pick LC. The
number two spot goes to Roamin who bet the farm on Souper Sensational in the 8th and his
sensational bet returned $690 and a profit of $590. Every other week except for 4 that would
have been enough to get Roamin to the winners circle but not on this Saturday. Indian Hemp
smoked the field with two stellar wagers. In the 8th IH had Souper Sensational to win for $50
and singled SS in a Pick 3. When Bolshoi Ballert won the 9th Indian Hemp hit a $20 Pick 3
worth $42.50 for each buck and IH got a lot of bang for the buck. $850 worth. Congrats IH on
the win and your bets. Nice picks by Roamin and Ruffian too. Plenilune still has a comfortable
lead in the ROI but Indian Hemp has achieved profitability and is still in the hunt. Digger, Roamin
and Real Quiet are next in line but all under the Mendoza line. Following are the unofficial
results pending any objections. I originally was going to say "see you all next week at the
Spa" but there is the Haskell which might be an addition to the card at Saratoga. Opinions are
welcome.

Kudos to Indian Hemp and the rest of the players that did well. As for the Haskell as an add on, don't know what effect the new whip rules at Monmouth will have. Maybe the best horses will win anyway. I usually like to play the Haskell Challenge, but will likely pass this year. 14 races, which it has been in the past, too many to handicap along with the Saratoga card, if that is where we wind up, but adding the Haskell itself ok with me, if it turns out to be a nice full field. Seems like it was a bit short last year with maybe 6 or 7 horses, if my memory is correct. However, it will likely be a quality field with Mandaloun and one or two others from the KD.

As Roamin knows, Souper was in good company all spring and now has found her niche distance wise. The Irish Mafia brought the faves from Epsom and the only concern was Santa Barbara getting ridden by more than a couple of pinheads.
