i think he's better than he gets credit for and obviously rates a very real chance in there.

Yeah, I think that Ivan Denisovich is better than people like to think he is. I mean, just because he lost against Showing Up once doesn't mean that he's going to lose every time....

But then again, I could be completely wrong, and Showing Up could trounce Ivan on race day, just like sniper said :D.

Love that screen name!!! I assume its in honor of the mare who won the stakes race at CD last November helping the huge pik-6 pool at CD be paid out to the tune of about 32 k? I believe it was Guidry who stormed down the lane with her!!!

I can't remember whether she raced at CD or not, but if she was a pretty grey mare with a quick turn of foot, then it was probably her :) ! And yeah, I absolutely fell in love with her, so my screen name's in honor of her.

I didn't care a thing about her until she won that grass race after being vanned off in the BC. She kicked that pik-6 payout up HUGE and I was thrilled!!!
Had to go to a wedding that day, and I'm listening to this boring ceremony knowing that Snowdrops had won and we needed Tom Amoss 3-5 shot in the last race to hit it. So I faked a trip to the mens room and went outside and called my friend on the phone to see if we had won.

I don't know if Ivan will run. The Irish bred horse to watch out for is Dark Islander. This will be no easy race for Showing Up.
