venue for 1/18
Fairgrounds seems the logical choice with a couple of graded stakes and 4 other stakes. I realize this is a bit early in the week, but the PPs are already available. Only question I have is where to start on Saturday? Race 2 is the Duncan Kenner which is a 6 furlong sprint stakes, but only has 5 entries. Could start there or eliminate the first 3 races and start with Race 4. Races 1 and 3 are maiden races and I am not sure how much interest there is in playing these. Thoughts?

Cal, I'd kind of prefer the "start with Race 4" option. That would leave us with a very interesting 10 race program ending with the Lecomte.
Congrats on a very formidable performance last Saturday and best of luck for a repeat. |
Thanks. Don't know about "formidable." I think I was lucky to just squeak by.:D Will likely need a lot of luck to win again as some of the other players had very narrow losses and may have better luck next time. I played that exacta at the last minute. I think I have finally learned that I cannot play a single race and expect to win very often. The learning curve for a horse player is down right eons long. At least for me.:zz:
