wow Can horses last that long? I guess it's a matter of which horse is still walking at the end lol.

It's a return to yesteryear, next they'll bring back the Display Handicap.

$176,809 in the win pool and $215,253 in the exacta pool. I guess people will bet just about anything.

Recap:
After a late scratch of 2nd choice Indy Storm, #5 Delta Sea was the 8/5 choice followed by #2 Successful Affair at 5/2 in a field of 8 that went postward. Luke's Flash set a blazing early pace of a mile in 1:43.25, tracked intently by Successful Affair. Luke's then wilted under the intense pressure of the mile in a quarter in an absurdly fast 2:11.53 and was eased. Successful Affair went on with it, winning a thrilling stretch drive over Duke's Crossing by 8 lengths. It was another 4 back to 3rd place finisher Delta Sea, followed by 7 more to Determinator and 11 more to War Paint. The remaining 3 did not finish. Successful Affair paid $7.30 to win after stopping the timer in a Secretariat-like time of 3:31.74 for the 2 miles.
