According to the list on Blood Horse, only one graded stakes on tap for this coming Saturday and that is a sprint at Gulfstream, but 6 minor stakes at Fairgrounds which seems the logical choice. There are some familiar runners in the Tenacious Stakes there with Lone Sailor and Blended Citizen and Tenfold all running. PPs are already available. Thinking about races 3 through 12 which would give us all 6 of the stakes and 10 races in all. Problem with that though is that there are 4 maiden races in with the 6 stakes. Might be better to do Races 2 through 13 which adds a dirt allowance and a turf allowance, but that is 12 races. So close to Christmas though, some people might have some last minute shopping to do.:) and prefer less races?

Open to suggestions, if there are any.

Not the best of cards with so many 2 year old races and maidens, but not much to choose from this time of year. Let's go with races 2 through 12. That eliminates a 2 year old race in Race 1 and another 2 year old race in Race 13 and a race for Louisiana Bred runners in Race 14. Post time for Race 2 is 1:29 Eastern.

Sounds good Cal. We should be able to fit an 11 race program into the last minute shopping, decorating, wrapping or baking.:)
