ROI Results 11/16 @ Del Mar
Del Mar started off our new handicapping year and one player started it off with a bang. Four
winners were found in the ROI and two players made them count. Both Ruffian and Cruzan just missed on a double digit horse which could have put them in the money and the rest of us just were spectators at beautiful Del Mar. Cruzan did cash a ticket but it only put him at the top of the also rans. Cruzan hit his winner in the 8th worth $50. Joly B took second place on the day when he hit the exacta in the Bob Hope worth $103.50. Sadly it wasn't the exacta payout in the 8th but his total return. Cal takes the win and continues his hot streak going into our 2020 season. Cal nailed his two winners in the 7th with a trifecta and a superfecta. The 5-7-8-1 combo returned to Cal $428 for the tri and $183 for the super. Nicely played Cal. Congrats on a big win and a little cushion to start off a positive ROI year. Following are the unofficial results pending an objection against the scorer. With such an overwhelming win I doubt anyone can object to Cal's romp. Congrats also to Don Guido on his points win. See you next week at the track of Don's choice. While pickings are slim this time oif the year you never know where a future star might show up. WIN... Cal828... +$515.45... Gotta put as much money in the win column as possible before Roamin gets warmed up and starts putting those $1000+ wins on the board.:D

Cal828, not to worry, I just happen to have a lucky streak at the time, it always don't go that way for me. Good luck. But don't look back I will be chasing you. lol

Tom, your modesty is becoming, but all of us are just waiting for your next "lucky" streak to begin, knowing that once it does we will probably all be competing for second place.
We all know that handicapping has a huge element of luck attached to it, but I've found out that the better a job of handicapping I do, the luckier I seem to get. Your final comment reminded me of one of the wonderful quotes attributed to Satchel Paige, "Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you." |
