Thor's Echo to De Francis Dash...
 

Today's Washington Post says Thor will run 11/25 in the dash....apparently O'Neill thinks there is an outside chance at an eclipse with a win.

"If we can get another Grade I in there, they'll have to consider us, that's for sure"

Sounds like a bet against to look forward to. Though, I give them credit. He's still pretty fresh.

I think if Thor's Echo wins the De Francis he should absolutely win the Eclipse Award. Otherwise I think it should go to Bordonaro. Henny's only claim after his BC flop would have been if War Front or an east coast 3yo won the race.

I was there last year for the Defrancis Dash and it was an outstanding
day of racing and seeing Barbaro winning the Laurel Futurity. This year
Defrancis Dash day will have 7 other stakes that day at Laurel. Should be
a great day of racing and something Maryland Racing fans could look
forward too. Hopefully I can make the trip to Laurel.
