Venue for 7/20

For my part, Monmouth, for this coming weekend, is pretty much a must play venue, that is, if Ms. Ruffian agrees. 14 races is not even too much since I will be playing in the Haskell Challenge anyway, but that will probably be too much for some of our players that are not playing in that contest and besides being a lot of races, I think I recall that they start awfully early so if we do play there, maybe we can whittle the card down a bit.

I'm so sorry cal828 but I made an error in race 6 and had to revise the final results. My apologies!!! :(

The thread has been updated but I can't figure out how to change the subject line.

Not a problem. Not surprising to me, I couldn't see how I possibly could have done that well.:zz::D

We're awaiting Ruffian's final determination, but since it's likely that we will be playing Monmouth on Saturday, the linked article is worth reading. Kudos to Monmouth Park for their attempts to be proactive for the safety of both horses and humans in anticipation of extreme heat and humidity.

The proximity of Monmouth to the ocean should make conditions a bit less onerous.

The following ought to be kept in mind: "Races will be pushed back until later in the afternoon when temperatures will be lower, if necessary"
