Venue 6/29 Woodbine Races 1-10

If there are no objections Saturday's card will be Woodbine races 1 thru 10 ending with the Queen's Plate. Post time is 12 noon Eastern time. If there are any suggestions please post them before the official threads go up. I would have added the Mother Goose from Belmont but it is a 6 horse field.

Very nice call RQ. IMHO you have threaded the needle to include all of the stakes races on a very strong card without overwhelming the players or the scorers with too many races to handle. I can't wait to start working on the Charlie Barley, eh.

'objection' Kind Sir ;)

Could We Please Start With Race 2 Not Race 1
To Give Those Of Us In Earlier Time Zones
More Time In The Morning To Amend Entry :)

Would Be Greatly Appreciated
With Xtra Catnip In Your Basket! :{>:

You know Ruff, if you are up early enough on Thursday to post your objection at 12:02, surely you could be up early enough on Saturday to make your cat scratch changes by 12:00. Your entries are always posted by early Friday afternoon, so they will only be affected by late scratches.

WRONG
Typing a simple question is not the same as trying to check scratches
Then making the changes on the board

The problem is not with the points contest

The issue is we are NOT permitted alternates for the ROI

Therefore if one of my horses scratches I lose that ROI wager :$:
Because being up early enough to go to Equibase
then check scratches
then see if any of them are mine
then be able to post the change on the contest board
is difficult considering I am up at 3 AM with the cat

By the time I get back to sleep I sometimes don’t wake up
Early enough to get all that done :(

I learned early in life it never hurts to ask
The worst thing that can happen is somebody says “NO” :(

I wanted to do at least 10 races. I would have skipped race 1 but the race after the Queen's Plate is also a maiden race and who wants to end with that? Again I would have skipped race 1 and gone with the Mother Goose but there are only 6 horses entered and if there is a late scratch that's not a good way to end the points contest. Alternates have never been allowed Ruff. You don't see a problem if alternates were allowed in pick 4's or Grand Slams? I do. Also the 2 graded GP stakes only have 7 each.
