Maximum Security

Beaten at 1/9 today. Methinks the retirement announcement is coming next.

ateamstupid 06-16-2019 06:44 PM

1-20!! I don't think he'll be retired without a legitimate injury though. Not sure what the stallion market would be for a son of New Year's Day trained by Jason Servis.

He really looked like crap...never looked like the winner.

Alabama Stakes 06-16-2019 09:03 PM

He looked like he was missing about 100 pounds of muscle since the derby. He certainly did not look as big and strong as he used to. I rarely say anything about meds and so called cheaters, but steroids is the only thing that makes muscles appear or disappear like that. He looked like a midget next to Pletcher.

From a guy who thinks photos are doctored ( in BC races no less ).

Alabama Stakes 06-17-2019 12:10 AM

They have never produced a mirror image photo of Beholder in front.....because she wasn’t. Watch the slow motion, Jerry Bailey said it, then clammed up.

I know the Songbird stuff is old hat but I’ve never paid much attention to it. Why would the track want Beholder to win and Songbird to finish 2nd? What would their motive be?

This should be good. I’ve never heard his reasoning either.

I’m convinced he’s smoking too much weed. Everything is a conspiracy to him, plus you’ve got to be smoking way too much when you have cornrows.

They were taking care of the home town hoss that stayed in Cali, not the one who deserted them for New York all Summer. It was an honor to see her win the Alabama Stakes

If they had a legit photo..., where is it? Slow motion shows the inside is down on the wire. The photo finish technology there is terrible. All one has to do is watch the Olympics to see just how accurate it can and should be. It's really amazing that so many people are so blind to something pretty clear. Why is it that the usaual way to see who won ( when you're at the track, or at home, before they post it) is to call each number on the jump where they are ahead. Let's try it.
8....1....8....1....8...1. Songbird wins.

I hear the photo is hanging at Comet Ping Pong in Washington DC.

Say what you want about Maximum Security..If your a beyer figure guy he again hit 100 for 4th straight time. Better then most of the others and still one of the top 3 year olds. King for a Day is a pretty fast horse and looks to be improving. Could be interesting to watch.

Do you think Elvis is still alive?

Alabama Stakes 06-17-2019 12:33 PM

No , but UFO’s are real and that’s not the real Paul McCartney either.

He’s a nice horse. I think many are dubious that his success is on the up and up but he can run.

His human connections make him a difficult horse to root for.

Alabama Stakes 06-17-2019 12:44 PM

Do you think he looked smaller yesterday than in the Derby or in Florida ?

There’s no way I could accurately tell that from my TV screen and I doubt you are either.

Did the Pletcher not look way bigger during the race ? When trying to figure out how good max. Security was in Florida, his good size was a positive. If he was a runt, in for $16 first time out, you could understand it. He looked too big to be offered so cheaply. That was puzzling.

This is the kind of stuff that never crosses my mind. I try not to cloud my mind and judgment with things like this because there’s no way to tell from the TV unless you keep detailed notes on individual horses weights.

I guess the other horse looked a little bigger but maybe he’s a bigger horse?
