Keeneland Opening Day

Nice Thursday opening day meet at 3:00 PM. May have to sneak home early that day. First appearance is some nice betting races and looking rain free. Hope Gus is on top of this card!! I only looked close at the stakes race so far with Bulletin returning. Could be some sneaky horses in that race.

Tom, I'll definitely post the late PK5 for opening day Thursday. 12 by 12 by 12 by 14 by 12 should make for tremendous value. Iron horse Gladiator King set to make his 7th start of the year in the Palisades Turf Sprint. Bulletin will have to be at his best off the bench.

I think there's a pretty solid single in the Stakes.

A solid single in a 14 horse turf sprint? You're so ridiculous.

Kind of amusing that both Wesley Ward guys are on the AE list in the first with a bunch of 2 year olds they paid under 10K for are in the body of the race. I guess a couple of them will scratch out.

I think the horse JV is riding is going to win. I can't remember her name right now.

Sorry I'm jumping in before BTW responds but these last couple of posts of yours are the stuff of straight man comedy legend...

I'm surprised no track has tried this routine as part of their in-house handicapping broadcast team...

...and I was so close to having him as a guest on Talking Horses this Summer.

"There's a horse in this race that can't lose. I can't remember his name but Javy is riding him."

I think you're missing the boat not having him on. This is a million dollar idea.

All the guys who claim they mute the on-air handicappers will unmute.

Like watching an episode of Black Adder in between races...with relevancy.

Wait, you're saying Black Adder wasn't true?

No, but they all take place in the past. If you make it contemporary, bettors are more likely to turnip the volume.

I can't believe that Baldrick is ranked higher on the British Honours System than Blackadder. A bit ironic.

Front-running filly facing colts for the first time in a race with a pretty good amount of early speed. That’s a pass for me, even with JV aboard.

Assuming she even runs.

Race 1 looks like there could be some nice value there. Same with Race 3. I’m thinking a pick 3.

1,2,3,4,5,12 / 3,5 / 3,5,6,8,11

Probably won’t bet the early Pick 5.
