Yes. $12,000 buy-in which is bankroll for the 2 days. W-P-S, EX, TR, DD.

Prize pool was worth about $450k with cash, 2019 NHC seats (5) and a BC BC seat.

I don't know much about it either. So if you had deep pockets, you could just buy in and not have to win some preliminary contest?

Alabama Stakes 01-27-2019 12:31 PM

So the guy Preston Sands turned $12k into $156k , which he keeps, plus a prize for like another $120K for winning ? NTamm turned $12 k into $45K ? And he keeps it and gets prize money too ?

It's more real than the 200k a 20 claimer made for finishing 11th in a field of 12 in the Peg

The reason I asked that is I looked at the results for some of the players in the BCBC and one of the guys I looked at played a big tri in every race in, I guess, what was a "shoot the moon" all or nothing type of play, which might be a good strategy, but he hit nothing in any race. After such a poor showing, I wondered whether he had won his way into the contest or just had deep pockets and bought his way in.

well I tried to upload the photo that is on Fornatale's twitter page with Preston Simms holding a "big" check for $327,458.00...now that's Impressive, not to mention BCBC and NHC seats to boot.
