Del Mar races 1-10. First race is at 5pm eastern.

I'm sure we will be playing Saratoga a lot this summer. So I gotta get my hometown track in when I can! ;)

Plen, in honor of your choice, here's a link to a fellow handicapper Dell Yount singing at Del Mar a few years ago.

Dell posts as "Badactor" at the upinclass website.

While I currently live in PA I grew up in San Diego, when it was still a nice town. ;)

Loved Del Mar both going early A.M. to watch workouts as well as the afternoons of racing.

Thanks, JolyB, for the link. He's got a good voice! That link led me to this 56 minute documentary about Del Mar. It was pretty neat seeing some horse names and jockeys I had not thought about for a long time. Also, I remember the days when they would take the horses over to the ocean to splash around. Can't do that anymore thanks to the environmentalists.

The last thing you would want to do is offend a Seal. But I think they train at El Coronado, quite a bit to the South of Del Mar. (Unless you were referring to a different type of seal?:))

The ones I'm talking about swim around and bark at you. They occasionally try to catch the fish on your line already. It happened to be my fish once.🐟 Greedy thing.
Now, the seal huggers don't like to offend them. They can hug all the seals they want. I'll pass. They have teeth.😁
