being upfront with a freind
so one of my 85 year old buddies over coffee today asked me a very simple question hes said how do you win at Saratoga?
I told him plat out that I depend on the show a lot now because its hard for me to read the form anymore with problems I have with eyes I also explained to him that my bank roll is fatter then his[ not to be a snob] but just to make him understand that im not shy about pushing the all button when it comes to betting pick 4 and 5 I told him I look for ellis 2 year olds coming up and I bet them alos but I was curious because of a simple question asked to me how do you win at Saratoga? do you have trainer angles you look at? or maybe trainer /jock combos do you look for drop downs? maybe turf to dirt or vice versa what are some of the things you fine people on here look for to win at Saratoga? thanks and good luck to everyone |
I like Laurel Park turf shippers

get some glasses and follow the trends.listen to andy on the pre show.pay attention to big stables/connections with 2 year olds .most everyone wants to win at toga,so some stables point for this meet.j englehart had a break out year
last year.just have to follow who is hot. good luck hooves |
Avoid post 1 in turf sprints.
Bet hosses back who get beat from the 1 hole in their next race. Avoid Leparoux early in the meet as the past 2 years he’s been about 2 %. Bruce Brown, Nick Zico, Leo O’Brien, Tom Albatrani don’t win up there. Pay attention to Manny Franco. If he is on someone he shouldn’t be on, or off someone he should be on.....there’s usually a good reason. Include Byk “next best “ selections in vertical wagers as well as horizontal. The 35,000 or 50,000 non winners of 3 lifetime are strong races. When they run well in there, they can move up and win strarters or allowance 1 other than races. |
Bet all my win selections to place, bet all my place selections to show, and bet all my show selections to make to the finish line by post time next race :D
Just kidding OTO...good luck and hope all your picks are winners at the SPAAAAAAAAAAA.... |
last time i won at toga i used this idea.
wait for the horse to run their second time on the track..if they did well in their first outing, they will do well in their next...pick3 winner for me...$300 |
hey hooves i do use glasses
jesus im 90 plus you don't think I don't use glasses? and just so you know only one eye so kind of tough for me but thanks for the input
and thank you all for sharing |
Look for Florent Geroux to stick it to the droves of people who are adamant that he rode his mount as a blocker for Justify in the Belmont Stakes.
I can see him doing well this meet. My favorite turf trainer Timothy Hills might bring in a bomb or two on the weeds. Most likely will have Joe Bravo aboard Kharafa in a race or two that he'll hang on for a piece underneath. (but admittedly, i think i said something similar last year) :o:o Good Luck to you and the magnifying glass, sir! Crush the windows! |

As Dew can attest, I’m REALLY seeing things clearly right now as far as horses go. I’m hitting nice scores and am gash hairs always from the ones I’m missing. In the zone for SURE. Let’s keep it going! Good luck gents! |
