So here's the basic deal we have been doing for years with some added twists just for fun. Play or not, your choice.

1. Your pocketbook is $200 but you still only have 4 wagers (Normal)
2. You can bet the Oaks - Derby Double but the bet must be in before the Oaks post time. Look it up. And that's 1 of you 4 wagers (Normal)
3. Points are doubled if you get any but the SWEEP and REPEAT remains the same. (Normal)
4. This year we'll add a couple of new twists (See thread called Derby Twisters) . . . (Not Normal)
a. Pick the exact order of the top eight finishers in the Derby (an octafecta) and you get 40 extra points (can you imagine the payout if this was a real bet and you hit it):$:x8:) if it was a real bet
b. Pick the straight superfecta in the Derby and get 20 extra points
c. Pick the horse that comes in last in the Derby and you get 10 extra points

That's a possible or impossible way to get you 70 extra points in your total score for the year. So what the HEY, have some fun and GO DERBY CRAZY!!! And this year I have no freaking clue.:zz::confused:

This is a good way to get some real VIRTUAL CHA CHING!!!

Hey, it's Derby Day. That's a time when people do crazy things, like staying up very late to mark up the pp's with multi colored markers or getting up very early to watch Breakfast At The Downs. They pay amounts for parking at Churchill that they wouldn't pay in midtown Manhattan, or start drinking mint juleps before most folks finish their morning coffee. They all rise to sing one of the most depressing songs ever written as a way of continuing the festivities. They even try to pick the top 8 finishers in a 20 horse race when most would have bragging rights for the entire year if they picked just the top one. Surely we can also be wild and crazy by playing the full race card on this race day.

Your out voted Ruffian, sorry. I agree with JB. It's Derby Day and you go with the flow and the fun of the races, all of them. And it's only once a year. Those on the west coast get the real "stick in eye" . You'll survive and likely beat us all since you are hotter than the sun's core this year. ENJOY!!!
