But seriously do people really stress this 3 days out?

Rain seems to be holding off so far, but cloudy. Not the ominous dark clouds that usually mean imminent rain. I just drove back from Little Rock and got a little moisture on my windshield, but not enough to even clear it of all the yellow pollen in the air. Rain probably coming, but who knows when. Oaklawn has a webcam, but can't tell anything from that. Doesn't look all that wet.

Storm(s) expected 2-9p, especially strong through late afternoon.. Ran into Gary Stevens as he came in at 11a and he said he was hoping they'd have moved post times up as far as possible.

Watch out Jim Cantore! Byk is expanding into meteorology.

At least the Locusts are holding off.

cal828 04-13-2018 01:52 PM

No locusts, pitchforks, cats dogs or catfish yet, but looking more ominous by the minute.

Nobody at my house, but me and two Labs and a Yorkie. If it gets too bad, me and the Yorkie are jumping in the bathtub and the labs can fend for themselves. :D I probably shouldn't be joking. Tornadoes not a laughing matter in this neck of the woods. However, they seem to prefer flatter terrain than we have here, I said trying to reassure myself.

Wet track likely tomorrow. Monsoon did not come today, probably only delayed a few hours and still coming.

Kasept 04-13-2018 06:26 PM

Been very lucky so far. A few of them skirted the area, mostly floating north.

I was beginning to think that the weather man was a genius. Your info said that it would start at 3:15. Actually started at my house at 3:19, but only rained for 8 minutes and stopped. At one point I was going to say that I thought it might make the Apple Blossom more interesting, if we did get a monsoon, but it was pretty interesting anyway with Bella's bobble out of the gate. I thought I was being clever, betting Bella over Unbridled Mo with four of the others and Bella over the four over Unbridled Mo. What a dunce I can be sometimes.:D
