Mo Town

Exploded on the turf at Belmont today, beating a few good horses. Loved him early on as a 2yr old. Then he kind of fell apart.
Hoping he turns into a turf star, if today is any indication, he will.

All the sudden a turf monster.
Good for him and good for Tony D.

I bet the 3 horse, watched it a few times and guess he had a good enough trip but sure had to wait at the worst time entering the stretch.

and its like taking candy from a baby...west coast horses on dirt when they ship and east coast horses on turf when they ship..

oh and right now just bet Rudy Rodriguez no matter what the form is.

Stevens did the favorite no favors by engaging a slew of longshots at the midway point before going all in way too early for a turf race.

Made a similar premature (and very wide) move in the La Jolla against lesser earlier this summer and almost got beat on the line. Amid tougher rivals you're unlikely to get away with it, as we saw in the last 100 yards.

Stop it. The 3 got the dream run of the century, at best 3rd best, probably 4th and he got 2nd.

thats insane and idont think u understand the del mar turf course and stretch if you think you can wait the entire turn to start making your move, against less maybe but not against good horses. Yes it opened up but after having to be checked for a 100 yards at the crucial point on that track.

Bro I just watched the replay...3x. The horse never once left the rail. The winner was wider then him at every stage of the race. The 3 never checked. Maybe briefly waited. I used the 3 in my pick 4 and thought he had a shot. He ran well and was probably 3rd or 4th best with an absolute dream trip.

see, I watched it again and thought if he had the 7's trip he wins....

of course I have bet him now 2x in a row and have been less than thrilled with the trips.

it still was a very good day. I finished the day way up so its hard to complain about 1 pick not winning the last 4 races but thats playing horses ya know
