Ironically, the biggest improvement in Beyer figs next time out came from Bar of Gold, who lost her next start. Songbird's Beyer went down, as did Paid Up Subscriber's, even in a 30+ length romp. Carina Mia was cutback to a distance she prefers and improved from a 90 to a 92. Factory of Faith was all out to win a money allowance at Thistle and her fig dropped 12 points.

yea, and most of them were strong favorites.

I just found it funny when I clicked on the race and saw nothing but ones.

oh and I bet Bar of Gold in that race by the way...I am the jinx

And Bar of Gold ran a winning race; she just had the misfortune to run into a killer in Grand Jete.

Thanks for pointing this out. By no means am I convinced that the 4YO Songbird is as good as the 3YO Songbird was, but after recently listening/reading all the gratuitous shots people have been leveling at her, I was starting to think that Songbird was little more than a nice allowance horse.

We dont know what Songbird is yet this season. I guess we will find out a bit more this weekend. It seems most are assuming she has taken a step back.

I long ago put her into the Cigar category when he was machine like.
Until she starts losing,I either play her or skip betting on her race/betting sequence(mind you I'm 99% a multi-race player).
I should be able to find a way to use her this Saturday.

Took 3 swings since the Ogden Phipps, but got it done.

Only Highway Star remains and she's back in tomorrow.

I decided to pass on here in the race against Grand Jete....but I got out for the last one today.

I am using Highway Star for sure, though I think she may be closer to 6/1 than 10/1 in that spot.

She's a player IMO
