Bricks and Mortar
Check out his run in the Belmont 8th today. I said before the race I think he is a potential superstar. He did not disappoint.

I disagree, Greg. He was best in the race. Sure the favorite should have won, but he would have won tucked in behind a dawdling pace, while the winner came from a pole back and came home in 44.38 according to Trakus. Bricks and Mortar should have finished second as the best horse. He got a little lucky and won, instead, as the actual best horse. |
I had a $20 P3 ending with Javy & Lezcano ... All I could do is laugh at myself for leaving Chad Brown's horse off of the ticket. Heading into the stretch I thought the 4 had a very real shot of making me some beaucoup bucks! Bricks & Mortar closed like a freight train once he was tipped out!
Between that finish & Dream Doctor getting beat at wire, it's a marvel how I still managed to bend yesterday over my knee! |

Wow, I just watched it and was super impressed. Where has this horse been hiding?

Did you see who his sire is??? |

A full to Orb trained by Shug should get better seems a bit pace dependent but that may change with seasoning. Shug hasnt has a good dirt horse in a while

The rematch happens today

well that settles that...nice horse the winner

Superstar.
4-1 was crazy |

Looks beat in the stretch until he's tipped out, then he gobbles up ground needed for the win. Eager to see where he lands next! |

Bricks Questions
Why on the gallop out does Ortiz look back and wait for Dettori on the 8 hoss to come up inside him, then appear to hand something to him ? Why would he be high 5 ing Frankie Dettori anyway? Are they buds or something ? Why does Ortiz only wear one glove ?
