Chalky beginning in the Queen Anne. I was hoping Miss Temple City might do better on what looked like firmer ground. I thought the Omni/Swinger was an interesting bet. I can see where a person might get a nice return on that, if a horse like Spectre made into the top three. I liked him, but it might have been the 007 connection.:D

Next race should pay boxcars. Think I'll put a couple of bucks on the 18. Carried 158 lbs 3 miles in his last race?:zz:

Ascot 6

After watching Declaration of War run pretty mediocre over the weeds in his debut, he is a big go against here. The one hoss looked like a cannon in his debut. The price is right. Anyone know anything about the Wesley Ward guys ?

Probably over hurdles. I saw a story that mentioned that some had in some of the races.

I must admit that I've never paid much attention to Euro racing except for the Arc, but I enjoyed todays races and plan to watch more of the racing from now on.

Lady Aurelia...what a monster.

ateamstupid 06-20-2017 04:34 PM

Pretty crazy that the best turf sprinter in the world is a 3-year-old filly from America.

Can't wait for tomorrow. Kudos to Lanes End for sponsoring!! What fun to watch in HD on the big screen from living room downs! Safe trips for all in dealing with heat..And hope they are watering to soften up the going.

Taking nothing away from Lady Aurelia but that turn of foot in a $2.5 mil race was breathtaking. Watched replay several times and still can't believe that move.Neither could Australia's leading trainer as she was counting her money all the way down the stretch.
