Dubai Escapade

Is she really going? I find it hard to believe they'll throw here against Henny Hughes along the similar mentality of Bernardini/Discreet Cat?

Her only loss this year was at 6f and she has no wins at that distance. While she is really fast, I think she'll be nothing more than a pace factor who gets swallowed up off the turn.

it seems that she won't go, entered in the same wat discreet cat was -- as a precaution.

i think malibu mint has the better shot in that race.

i haven't heard anything saying that she would go, but we'll see.

on another note, it's counter-intuitive. you take your speedball favorite in the race and you throw in your other speedball to challenge him?

would not serve the owners well one bit -- it would just make henny's short price even more impossible to stomach than it already will be.

i hope she goes now that i think about it. just one more no-hoper to soften up the front half so that malibu mint can win.

can't wait.

Trainer Eoin Harty said a final decision on the status of his once-beaten filly Dubai Escapade will not be determined until shortly before entries are drawn for all eight Breeders' Cup events in Louisville next Wednesday.

"I'll take her down to Churchill Downs later this week, work her over the track on Monday, and make a decision from there," Harty said of Dubai Escapade, who won the Grade 1 Ballerina in her last start. "At the moment she's doing very well, and I see no reason why she won't run."

Interestingly, just last week he was saying that he didn't think they could beat Henny Hughes anyway so he wasn't likely to send her here.

I believe she is just insurance in case something happens to HH
