Arrogate going to Dubai World Cup, per Baffert
Arrogate will be going to the $10 million Dubai World Cup at Meydan on March 25, trainer Bob Baffert said Monday.

"I just got the word," Baffert said after speaking to representatives of Juddmonte Farms. "As long as he keeps working well he's going."

Arrogate has won the Travers, Breeders' Cup Classic, and Dubai World Cup in his last three starts. He had also been under consideration for the Santa Anita Handicap on March 11, which is worth $750,000.

Baffert also will be sending Hoppertunity to the World Cup.

After that, probably Pacific Classic, Goodwood, BCC, then calling it good I assume?

No it won't.

I am sure Baffert wanted a shot at a 600k payday but I doubt the prince was particularly concerned with anything but was right for horse(whatever that means) While the purse keeps score for everyone the purse is completely inconsequential to such a man in his 80's, its the trophy.

Really hope Juddemonte next leader/owner is as supportive of racing in States, they really have been an awesome supporter of the sport

Looking at the challengers in the race it appears the only horse who can defeat Arrogate is Arrogate. I will still hold to my choice that he will lose......somehow....


but he should win by 5-6 L easily.
