10/15: Keeneland (5th-10th); Belmont Park (6th-9th)
 

Keeneland action continues to be very entertaining with excellent wagering opportunities and Friday was more of the same. As suggested when putting out multi grids, ticket-building was a maddening exercise and I failed to reach the juicy $1,190 P4 (.50) despite it being well within reach. Mistake was going 4x2 in the front half when I really liked Goats Town in the 7th and 2x4 was the right approach. Saturday offers another round, while Belmont's late P4 is anchored by a terrific Pebbles.

I'm at Far Hills today for the biggest event of the steeplechase season and may not be able to do post-SCR changes.. Hope everyone enjoys what should be a fabulous fall afternoon!

Good stuff here Steve. Keeneland looks fun again plus adding another juicy late pick 4 at Santa Anita today should make the day fun.

Maybe you could ask the jumper people about the ridiculousness involving getting rid of the all important final jump at Saratoga

Was not NSA's call, believe me. Was insisted upon by NY Vet/Racing staff to try and mitigate falls in front of the grandstand. Though Bob Le Beau went wrong in the Turf Writers, there was not a single faller the whole season.

Very large pick 6 carry for keeneland on Wednesday..over 100k dollar minimum

Somehow chasing even 5x that amount in a pick six even at .20 doesn't seem like a good use of funds.
