Matt just looking at the numbers today.. For the meet favorites winning 54% of the time this last weekend 22 of 31 races won by the favorite 71%.. How do you approach a contest there?

I went for the first time last Saturday and while it was a gorgeous day and I did enjoy it there, the racing and the results were just something left to be desired. A day earlier, I contended that the early pick 5 might have been the worst betting sequence in the history of racing. It was 2 jump races, a baby maiden claimer, a cheap maiden race and then a 5k beaten claimer. Mind you that this was a day that NY had a late start and maybe they couldve taken advantage of the early crowd. I always contend that they should do things such as night racing to get away from going head to head versus NYRA.
But you hit the nail on the head, even though it's a beautiful venue why the hell would I go all the way there to bet Belmont? I dont have to leave the house for that.
As far as strategy goes, I would continue to use your system. I mean with the results that come in there, all you really need is to connect on one of your plays to be in the thick of it. If you should connect twice, I'd think you could possible run away with it. Watch out for Gallardo on the turf, I think he's a pretty good jock.
It hurts me to say it, cause I really love or should I say loved going there, but it's just to the point that it's not worth while wasting the time, effort or money to play that place right now. Its a great place for families to spend a beautiful day at the track, but for bettors they're better off putting their money in other pools.
