AP Stud Fee. Any guesses?
Your guess as to how high his stud fee will be, first year?
|
$175K?
|
100k
|
better yet...how many times will he "breed" the first year?
|

It's 200 grand per shot lol

Well they announced Pioneerof the Nile at $125k and that "might go up" after the breeders cup. I imagine they want to price Pharoah over his sire, so maybe $150/175k?
I'm interested what Empire Maker stands for. |
At least $200k.

250k

But. But. But. As awesome a race horse he is, he's unproven in the shed. I'd really be surprised if it's more than POTN, and no will know what kind of real runners he'll have for 2-3 years.

Better question: which mares will be taking numbers to wait in line? First off, mares with owner's with deep pockets. :$::$::$:
|
Doesn't it look bad if they don't go over Pioneer of the Nile's fee? Empire Maker entered at $100,000. Ghostzapper went in at $200,000 though it fell relatively quickly.
I'll say $200,000 for AP. Incidentally, here is the stallion page of Pioneer of the Nile, who sired American Pharoah and Athens, the impressive (maybe) winner of the...Bangalore Oaks! |
I believe he is actually standing for $225K. Who is actually paying that is a better question.
I will never understand how anyone could pay four times as much money to breed to American Pharoah as they will likely have to pay for Honor Code, assuming they go to a new sire. Or how about paying a similar amount to breed to Tapit? |
