All i have heard is Paul Ryan took his name outta the running, and that will leave it all to Kevin MCarthy, current Majority Whip if memory serves. King is to level headed "at times" for the wingnuts. Ghomert is literally INSANE. :zz:

curiouser and curiouser.
apparently boehner is resigning because he refused to shut down government at the behest of some in his part.
and now, no one wants to take his place. hell, why would they?! i even saw the other day that in response to a question of 'why won't _____ take the position as speaker?', his rep said 'because he's not effing stupid'

mccarthy opened a can of worms about hillary, and it continues:

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/gop-congr...-after-clinton

In an interview with WIBX 950 in New York on Wednesday, moderate Republican Rep. Richard Hanna said House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy was speaking the truth when he said this month that the committee had successfully injured Clinton.

“Sometimes the biggest sin you can commit in D.C. is to tell the truth,” Hanna told the upstate New York radio station. “This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton.”

why are the crazies running the show? where are the people who want to do what's right for the country? why are they crowded out by the zealots who put party before country?

Remember this summer when that 60 year old Atlanta Braves fan fell to his death while heckling Alex Rodriguez? He was so intent on throwing shade at the opposing team's batter he couldn't stay aware of his own safety.

I think if you look at many voters as sports fans and the party they vote for as their team, it all makes sense.
