Rich Eng
Steve,
While I really like listening to Rich Eng on your show because he seems to be pretty sharp picking horses. But it really bugs me when someone gives out picks on your show , then Tweets he played another horse in that same race with no mention of that horse even as a long shot. Yesterday he tweeted that he played Alizarin Beauty in the 6th at Del Mar in the Pick and Pray contest. Now I know anyone has the right to change their mind, but I don't think that was the case. I'm sure he didn't want to give out so nobody would use that same horse in the contest, but it's kind of misleading if you are a public handicapper. Now I did not play anything yesterday and don't usually play during the week, so I didn't effect me, but I still think it's not right! Rob from the Az |

Truthfully playing live versus playing in a contest is apples and oranges.

People will gripe here about anything. It is mind boggling to me. |

Definitely get the complaint.. Agree with the contest aspect about gravitating to a better price than Rich's published picks, but also agree that there's no need to talk about it publicly. Rich is a big time NHC/HPWS/BCBC contest player though and likely feels like his audience recognizes what he's doing in that circumstance..

For what it is worth, met him at Mohegan Sun back in May and he seemed like a really good guy. Talked about some of his tweets and how he likes to tweet about all of his bad beats. He said he thinks people find that more interesting than sending out tweets about winnings. This was probably a circumstance of the contest. Certainly doesn't seem to be that kind of guy.
