having so many of the graded stakes on Saturdays is a stupid fuggin idea. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

i agree, and so does steve crist. we ahall see how many empty seats will be on MWTHF. Dumb move, if it aint broke...... takes away the specialness of having a stakes race pretty much every day.Who will want to go midweek now ?

This is a joke, right? You honestly think there are people contemplating spending a beautiful day at Saratoga and then passing because there isn't a listed stake as the feature?

that was one of the best parts about Saratoga....graded Stakes on weekdays

Isn't the guy in charge of NYRA the same one as last year
who put all the big stakes on one day and every was giving
him accolades? I wonder if these are group decisions.

I think the thought that there used to be graded stakes every day at Saratoga is held by the same people that think every race used to have 12 horses in it.

Next thing you going to tell me is that they don't open the infield up anymore

Steve Byk addressed this situation 2 months ago on "at the races". He is correct when he says the big weekends are too overloaded. we dont need major races on whitney. just the whitney will do. Spread the love!!!

We need quality races spread out. were not downstate. it works for downstate. not here

I think that even with whatever this change is that there is still a stakes race every day.
