American Pharoah legacy

AP is no doubt the best 3yo in training at this time. So far he has devoured his
3yo competition. I would like to see him run some higher speed figures. I would also like to see him in a real dog fight down the stretch to see what type of heart he has. After achieving this I think his place in equine history could be measured fairly to the other greats before him.:)

Understand . . . but your "likes", albeit admirable, may or may not happen. He may just be that good without needing to post 100+ speed figures and maybe the horses he beating aren't that fast either and maybe there's not a horse 3YO or older that can duel with him and maybe . . . well, you see all the "maybes". His legacy is already off to a great start comparable to many of the greats if not better. Truly the most outstanding 3YO we've witnessed in a loooooog time. If he runs the table this year . . . his legacy, no doubt, will be at the pinnacle of horse racing.

To add to his tremendous racing abilities, his mannerism, good natured demeanor and intelligence is refreshing to say the least.

Did he not fight it out in the Derby? Those were 2 of the top contenders going in.

Sure, his toughest race but he won. He's a winner. He does not like any other horses to get ahead of him when it counts. Over simplification? Maybe. Maybe not! I think it's basic to him and he's that smart and that good. Victor only needs to shift gears and sit back and enjoy.

No one will remember the speed figures 50 years from now. They will remember he won the Triple Crown.

It would be nice if he went for the Jockey Club Gold Cup after the Haskell and faced older horses before the Breeders' Cup.

Agreed. I'm tired of all those other equine stars with their tats, contract holdouts, nightclub stabbings, and general disregard for their position as role models for today's youth.

Who needs 'em.

seriously tho, no one knows what his legacy will be. we won't know if we'll be talking about him 50 years from now til it's 50 years from now.

His legacy will be the first TC winner after the creation of the internet, thus far more silly things have been said about him than any other TC winner.

No his fault....just bad timing.

And for those of us that really know and care . . . who freaking cares what "they" say. :p

This might be the big number score you are looking for based on his last workout. He might have to win by 15 lengths to do it though...
