I googled several sources because what was done to this woman just seems so blatantly awful and illegal that I of course immediately thought that there had to be something else going on (remember the grandmother who claimed a KFC asked her to leave because her granddaughter's face was alarming customers?). But this story seems to be what it is.

Bleah. The case makes me think of that terrible Ross Douthat column from a few years back, when he lamented that birth control and legal abortion meant fewer white babies for childless people to adopt.
