What are the Odds the Dubai crew gets Shut Out on BC Day?

It could happen. Balleto, Bernie, Henny, all go down. Who else am I missing?

Cunningham Racing 10-16-2006 08:35 PM

What ever they are, I'll book them.........

randallscott35 10-16-2006 08:37 PM

Calling Dunbar, can you make an odds line on this.

Henny 6/5, Bernie 3/5 and Balleto let's say 2-1. All three going down. What's fair.

Revolution 10-16-2006 08:39 PM

Balleto will be higher than 2-1.

Bernardini or Henny Hughes will win. Maybe not both, but one of them.

Maybe but Bernie could just as soon be 1-2 and Henny even money so it should balance out if anything.

Cajungator26 10-16-2006 08:53 PM

Hmmm...

I predict that two out of the three will go down...

Pointg5 10-17-2006 07:24 AM

I remember when Baffert was loaded in the 1999 Gulfstream Park BC, he didn't win and D Wayne won 2....

Linny 10-17-2006 08:33 AM

In addition to Henny, Bernardini and Balletto they will have some Euro based runners as well. Librettist looks very good for the Mile.

i have to say...i think it would be a bit of poetic justice if they fell on their faces this day, after the bs brass hat et al went thru with dubai.

but it's not the horses faults who owns/trains them, they have nothing to do with it. look how many sneered at the bid because delp was such a loud mouth. horses have no egos, not a moss or owens in the bunch. it's nice. if only the humans around them could be as quiet!!!

esp. whe one considers that some of their horses were bred by average to small breeders who own mid-level mares and the success of those horses on BC day goes a long way toward helping those operations not just Darley.
To say I bred a BC winner is just as huge as i ran/own a BC winner.

Assuming those odds are right for each horse the odds of all three losing are just over 11-1...roughly.

It feels like Balleto will be much closer to 4-1, Bernardini sounds right though probably 4-5 to even money and I guess Henny Hughes will be short but I have no clue about anything about that horse.

Feels like all three lose about 1 in seven times....mathematically that is. Of course what else is there.

Thunder Gulch 10-17-2006 10:15 AM

S-f-n.....

SniperSB23 10-17-2006 10:16 AM

Don't they have a couple for the Mile as well that should be factored in? Including them and Invasor it is even tougher to imagine they get shut out.

Yeah they're down to three possibles for the Mile. I'm sure one will go to Japan for their Group 1 mile since they have 2 invited runners.

It'll be interesting to see who goes where....

Bold Reasoning 10-17-2006 11:16 AM

I think it is more likely that Coolmore/Ashford is shut out on Breeders' Cup Day.
