he was sentenced to death. i'd have rather life in prison, but i'm sure i'm in the minority on that.

Life in Prison with no parole would be a harsher sentence for him.

how long will the circus go on, appeals, and such? and then if/when he's executed, he'll be a martyr for 'the cause'
let him die an old and forgotten man, long since 'buried' by the world.

If he wanted to go down as a martyr he would have not surrendered in the boat. I'd rather have him dead than interviewed by some bleeding heart liberal reporter trying to 'humanize' him.

I for one will never forget his smugness after placing the bomb at that innocent child's feet.

I also find it a bit amazing how many of the same people pushing abortion on demand, no matter how late into the pregnancy, are against the death penalty no matter what the circumstance.

I suspect this punk is too much a coward to really want martyrdom but unfortunately he will become one. I oppose the death penalty but terrorists are a different story, with them it's kill or be killed so in a perfect world, he would be taken out back and shot, his body disposed of with the rest of the garbage. Those who hide behind religion to justify murder will use him as a rallying cry but the truth is he is just another excuse for their brutality...in the days of the Roman empire, a Roman citizen could move freely throughout the known world without fear for anyone foolish enough to harm them would face the full might of Rome...perhaps it is time we realize that we are the world's only super power, when murderers shout death to America, there should be consequences...immediate and deadly!
