2014 Not a Very Good Year for World's 400 Richest
In 2014 the World's 400 Cakiest added $92 billion to their portfolios. The top nine individuals on the list accounted for $95.3 billion or all of it and the top man more than 25% of it.
Take the top nine out of the equation and the remaining 391 or 97.75% of the world's wealthiest collectively lost money. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-1...ba-surges.html |

What I found a bit disheartening was that the WORLD'S top 400 assets amount to $4 trillion and would cover only a quarter of this country's debt. The diamond in the rough of the story is the top gainer of 2014, the man who made over $25 billion, started off his career as a school teacher and grew up neither in a castle nor a mansion. Next lifetime! |
