Thanks for he update. As a former contest, player i found that I preferred the other type of contest using the fictitious money and set number of bets as opposed to live unlimited money contests as I am a smaller player and do not make large bets needed o win this type contest. It gives richer players an advanage of sorts to me,or little guys with bigger cojones. Not for me, thanks. Maybe you can suggest o them that they also offer the other type contest as well once, although he track wouldnot get the cash flow and takeout.

To each their own - the other format represents the majority of contests and of course there is nothing wrong with it. I have played both myself.

Just to be clear though - there should not be any advantage for more well off players. Everyone starts with the same $100 bankroll and you cannot add to it any other way than by winning. I think it's the unlimited play that gives the contest its appeal, since, yes, you can amass a greater bankroll and improve your chance of winning a cash prize, but that comes at the expense of increased risk - as it always does with gambling.

Borgata's format is live bankroll and limited bullets. I've never seen the opposite: fictitious bankroll and unlimited play, but I would try it.

I donot agree, if you are of limited means, and money is more dear to you and are going up in a contest to players very well capitalized, millionaires or such, the money wagered by them may be insignificant to them.
for instance when the p6 at gulfstream was taken down by Dan Borislew RIP who alled 5 of 6 races. Sure it is different than the contest but the advantage of throwing money without giving it much thought or feeling seems similar to me. No ???

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't everyone start with the same $100? You can only bet more if you win.

hen

Correct, sorry i didnot explain my reasoning well.

When many players buildup their bankrolls, the more well off folks may be more likely to punch hard, whereas little guys may be less likely too go all in because the money means more to them. and are more likely to play safer and take the sure money. I understand some little guys are gung ho, but my experience is what i wrote. ;)

I guess that's one way to look at it, certainly. On the other hand, I tend to assume that anyone entering is not playing with money vital to their lives and is using some sort of discretionary budget for entertainment.

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know about it if they are interested, as there seem to be a lot of members within driving distance of Delaware Park, and since it's 6 weeks away it gives plenty of time to plan.

Assuming a profitable Breeders Cup, yeah, the timing is good.:D
