Heart attack claims Dan Borislow at 52

7/22/2014 - Dan Borislow, founder of the MagicJack (the device and the team) passed away from a heart attack late yesterday after playing in a pick up soccer match.

Dan was a colorful character that made his mark in youth soccer in Florida, putting together one of the great teams in recent memory. He was very caring about his players and was very helpful to advance their education beyond the playing field.

Dan was also a world class entrepreneur, who founded Tel-Save in addition to MagicJack. He was involved as a thoroughbred horse breeder. He bought the Washington Freedom soccer team and moved it to Boca in 2011. The league dissolved in 2012 amidst a legal battle.

Dan Borislow will be missed very much in the Florida soccer community. He was 52.

A shame. He just hit that GP pot and was a man who liked to put money back into the sport.

I remember after he took down that Pic 6, many said it was only a matter of time before he pushed it all back thru the windows.

Gonna go out on a very small limb and say the track pools didn't get "their" money back. At least not much of it.

I remember him being somewhat erratic with a horse of his named Toccet.

What a shocker! Sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family. :(
