Trakus at Del Mar
 

I don't understand why Trakus does not spin the running positions as the horses are starting to approach the stretch? I know Del Mar does not have the chicklets like other tracks, but it makes no sense to keep the running positions 1st to last going left to right, since the horses are running away from them and it's awkward to look back as they are running away. If saddle clothes were easy to pick up it might be different, but then why have trakus if that was the case?

Each racetrack dictates what and how they display it.

Thanks for responding. I kind of figured it might be their call. In your opinion do you think they have it backwards? I don't recall having a hard time picking up horses there in the past, has it always been this way?

Del Mar has had this display for the last three seasons.
