Storm Cadet 06-13-2014 10:08 AM

with all the monsoon rain we have received so far today, and more expected later this afternoon, I doubt we will stay on the grass Saturday.

Storm Cadet 06-13-2014 04:28 PM

Race might go. Rain stopped here on the Island about 1030 and the sun has been out all day and tomorrow should be great weather now!

BigBlue 06-13-2014 07:29 PM

That is great news.

Looks like a pretty competitive race to me but I like TC's chances in this one. Thinking that ...
  • #10 (Ballybrit) goes for the lead but surrenders late.
  • #6 (Waterway) goes with him but falters going long for the first time.
  • #4, Cannon's two last speed figures as good or better than others in this group.

He makes his late charge again tomorrow only this time Junior has him on the outside out of trouble and in the clear.

All in tomorrow, no hedging. Win bet on Cannon.

Good luck Junior and TC.

Blinkers on or off tomorrow? I have family down for the weekend, I can't wait for them to get to see him run!!!

1" of rain overnight per track super Glen Kozak. They're walking course now and will make decisions with racing office by 7a..

Blinkers stay on. Ran a career best fig on Thoro-Graph with them.

Good job Boss.

Kasept 06-14-2014 10:24 AM

SCR's do not help the cause with Waterway exit leaving Ballybrit alone on lead. Elroi withdraws as well...

Good Luck and safe trip to TC and Junior. I'll be watching from the UK

Third again today while trying to stay closer to what figured to be a slow pace. Can't fault Alvarado for taking that tact but attempts at that style have blunted his finish in the past and seemed to today as well. Course has to be very heavy as time was slow, 1:37.4 today v. 1:34.2 two weeks ago.

Rileyoriley 06-14-2014 06:58 PM

Thought he ran well. Was this his first time on a yielding course?

That's a viable point. Caught a 'good' (likely worse) course at AQU in the last turf race run in NY in 2013.. and didn't run well. Surface with give to it may not be to his liking.

While mowing my yard today, I found it also had a lot of give to it due to the recent rain. I did not care for it either. I'm with Cannon on this one.:)

BigBlue 06-14-2014 10:00 PM

i thought Junior gave everything he had today. Not sure what else he could have done.

Cannon has got to want to win.

I wish we could get him to apply himself. Practice! It's practice!

Still a lot of fun!!!

Go Toy Cannon. Go Dee Tee.
