TMZ stirs the pot.

This is a pretty funny interview.

Someone should give Victor smelling salts.

Asking a jockey to compare horses from 40 years apart is comical.

Asking a jockey for handicapping advice is even more comical. Some of them, as TVG has proven over the years, make unbelievably horrible analysts.

Some of the trainers are also beyond brutal. On Sunday, they showed a photo finish picture of the 5th race and Nick Hines argued on-air with another analyst that "the margin of victory will be a head when the chart comes out" It was the Rap D' Oro and Park City race.

Anyone who isn't blind can see from the photo the margin was a nose -- but Nick Hines was so sure the margin would officially be a head, that he wagered to eat a horse cookie if he was wrong. And, or course he was wrong.

Obviously -- no one should expect jockeys or trainer to be competent handicappers. However, at the very least, assuming they're not legally blind, they should know the difference between a nose and a head.

this is also why i read nothing into a jock choosing one horse over another.

as for chrome, he's similar to secretariat in that both are horses.

But the agent makes those decisions, not the rider.

I dont buy into these things from jockeys anymore. Remember when Victor said Fusaichi Samurai was the 2nd coming after breaking his maiden. TMZ just needed a headline
