NTRA taking new tack to change withholding rules

I received this email from the NTRA regarding a bipartisan effort of several members of Congress to clarify the tax reporting and witholding requirements on pari-mutuel wagers. This would be a good start.

I wonder, if the rule were changed, how it would impact those who bet an A,B,C,X series of tickets.

No I don't. I doubt the IRS would care if my $8 winning wager was part of a larger sequence of bets.

But a good step forward regardless.
