TVG offering guaranteed 4/1 on California Chrome

Only if you bet at a certain time tomorrow.

This didn't work out so well for bettors when they did something similar for Game On Dude in the San Antonio. Seems strange. Then again, maybe TVG will not lose much since they're only offering this for a one hour period?

4/1 seems completely fair. With the scratches over the past month or so this horse seems like a standout and his chances of winning are higher than that.

$25 max, I'll toss that on it and it will be my only win bet on Cali Chrome most likely. Not bad value as he should go off at 5/2 or so.

RockHardTen1985 05-01-2014 05:48 PM

I would not bet him at 10-1, but I guess I can see why you would take 4-1 when he will be around 5-2 at post time. I think 5-2 and 4-1 are underlays on this horse.

Who you looking at? I'm going to have Crome in exactas cause if he breaks well and takes to the track he will win. He is the best horse in the race. I am interested in intense holiday tapiture and candy boy. Intense holiday reminds me of monarchos setup, candy boy needed last race and expect him to run good here and I'm throwing out tapiture a last race. They all need to improve to beat chrome and need a nice hot pace which shouldn't be a problem. Of course I may change my mind by morning.

100% serious. 6 or 8-1 would be fair. Why would I want this horse at 4-1 or 5-2?

You said you wouldn't bet him at 10-1. That's crazy and I would love to know why.

I dont like the horse. I have said it for weeks. Somewhere between 6 and 10-1 would be fair odds, and I still would not bet him at fair odds. This was before the draw. The draw makes him even less likely with sharp speed inside and out. I think the 20 is moving forward at the right time and I think the race sets up better for him. I think Candy Boy is being totally ignored, and I think Intense Holiday will run well. Ill also use Uncle Sigh because he is no worst then the Big Rat and might be double the price and Chitu who I think got the absolute best of the draw and could pull the best trip.

If you believe in TimeformUS, California Chrome isn't even the fastest.

I know. People jumping on me about not liking him, comical. I believe Serling said on twitter he thinks half the field will challenge him. Thats not a direct quote, I dont even have twitter. Plus since when do we chalk out at all? Especially in a 20 horse race though.....

This horse hardly needs the lead, how are they going to challenge him?

Just looking for you to provide reasons why you do not like him, other than the "I just like to pick against the favorite in the Derby", as we a all know its a hard race to win, its a safe position.

I know on Steve's show they have been saying Intense Holiday has been training great all week. I just have a hard time playing a horse that was on the wrong lead down the stretch and lugged in bad in the La. Derby. Maybe it's the track because Vicars in trouble switched leads back and fourth, in his last couple races.

I think Ca. Chrome will have to sit a little off the pace to win. Which I think he can, but I will only play in the exotics.

Intense Holiday is going to take play, maybe 3rd choice now?

I took the 4-1, but doubt that I will collect...... Why?

1) He's small. Damn small horses lose photos.

2) Breeding :(

3) Change in Track.

4) Espinoza is better at throwing bombs than ducking them.

4-1 is fair (nothing less is.) Take a big bite lil fella!

I took it... was going to do a win bet anyway so yeah figured why not.

100% overlay, a bit of bookmaking there I guess, close as we come into the states.
