Keeneland in the lead for 2015 Breeders' Cup

The race is not yet over. The finish line is still a few furlongs away. But the contenders for the 2015 Breeders' Cup have pulled away from the pack and the leader looks like ...

Keeneland?

Wow even with the temporary seating it seems impossible.

Boutique hotels like boutique tracks are nice but not when hosting conventions.

I'm trying to imagine a Bluegrass Stakes day with more than 2x the amount of people, would not be fun. Just getting into the place would be a nightmare unless you show up way early or walk there

Interesting article.

And then I read the headline for this one:

And got depressed because I didn't need the article's opening paragraph to explain; I got the reference right away. Because I'm OLD.

Scary how Belmont isnt an obvious choice.. Seriously Keeneland is a joke. I can see CD being in a Rotation of Belmont SA Delmar Arlington but Keeneland is just a sad sad choice

Why is Keeneland such a sad choice?

I actually agree with Freddy. Seriously.

Would be totally there

So many places to stay and so many restaurants in close proximity to the track I can't see why not?

Fly in, walk to the track, walk back to the airport and fly out would be my suggestion.

Or better yet have it at Santa Anita until global warming takes effect enough to make Lexington an average of at least 65 degrees in early November.

I do too. Seriously.

Keeneland is a nice place. But it's simply not big enough to hold the number of people they have on a busy Friday let alone the 3rd or 4th largest attendance days of the year. I hate going there during the meet.
